The Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health, is an Association that was formed on September 30, 1994. More than fifty (50) Recreation Professionals from all regions of Nova Scotia participated in the formation of this organization. N.S.R.P.H. allows for Recreation Professionals from around the province to communicate, network, share concerns and ideas, as well as advocate for the necessity and benefits of recreation in the health care system.

** The Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health Board of Directors will be recruiting a Member at Large and Vice President at the AGM in October. The Member at Large position is a two year commitment and the Vice President role a three year commitment including Vice President – 1 year; President – 1 year; Past President – 1 year.
The Member at Large Position is a great introduction to the Board of Directors, and the role of Vice President is to provide support and gain an understanding for the role of Presiden
Being a member of the Board of Directors is a very rewarding opportunity. You gain insight into the ever changing field of recreation and attend many educational workshops sponsored by the board. The board is also in constant contact with the Department of Health as this association is one of the leading voices in the field of recreation for the province.
